Tonight my daughter and wife called while I was at work and said the house felt like a day at the beach. It was 86 degrees in the house. On the 4th of August in Georgia, that is sweltering. At about 6pm I called Bear Comfort and a set of technicians were at my door by 6:30. These two gentlemen were polite, respectful and practiced social distancing. They wore masks as they spoke to my wife and assured her they would find the problem and have our house cooling off before they left. By 7:15 the technician had explained the problem with our system, explained the cost of the repair, completed the repair and had our house quickly cooling down. I could not ask for more.
The professionalism and courteous disposition of the technicians put myself and my wife at ease. We have used Bear Comfort before and will definitely call on them again. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

I cannot recommend this company enough! Our second story AC unit went out on a hot, humid evening. After reviewing FB recommendations, I called Bear Comfort first thing the next morning. The very kind woman I spoke to in the office had me scheduled for 10:30 am that morning. Jake was right on time, very courteous and thoroughly explained the issue. I decided to have the coils cleaned on both of our systems on the spot. Work was done quickly and efficiently. Pricing was very affordable. Jake was even understanding about my dogs barking non stop - great guy! We are customers for life!
Perfect experience from start to finish! My system has never worked better (even when it was brand new 5 years ago).
A week or so ago we noticed water dripping out of the ceiling in our dining room and having had no rain for days we were suspicious of the Furnace/Air Conditioner unit that sits above that area in our house. It seemed to us like our old venerable (26 years old) Air Conditioner was at fault. it cools a good part of our house, we had used Bear Comfort Heating & Air Inc. before when we replaced the “other” AC unit that cools the other end of This Old House, so we called them up, they came over the very next day and told us that several things were at fault including the pan that the unit sat on was almost certainly rusted through. The options were to hoist the old unit up and replace the pan or to replace the entire unit including the units outside (condenser ?). We toyed with a bandaid fix but decided to have Bear Comfort Heating & Air Inc. replace the unit with a bit better (newer for sure) unit with a warranty that would give us peace and cool (and heat). We were in conversation with their office making sure we were all in agreement on the day and time. The deep summer in Georgia is a busy time for the AC guys so as soon as they could (we used fans for a day or two), they arrived with all of the new gear, spent all day in the blistering-hot attic and replaced the old unit. The units in the attic went in, the old unit came out, the new (outside thingy) was installed, charged and checked and by days end we were about to get cool again. We choose a few sensible upgrades (now Alexa can set our temperature by voice command). And the price, according to my son that is in the business in another state was quite reasonable. I wrote all of this to both compliment this LOCAL, FAMILY OWNED business and to recommend them to you in case you need that kind of work.Mike Stock
